REFEREE TRAINING COURSES
& AS AN AYSO VOLUNTEER ON:
2. If you have not already done so, Apply as a NEW volunteer or CONTINUING volunteer for this year and be sure to sign up as a referee or coach.
3. Click on “Enroll to take a class”
5. On the Course Signup Screen enter for State enter "CA" and for Section enter "1". Choose the type of course you want to take from the dropdown menu and click “search”
6. Click the dot next to the course you wish to take, then click “Course Signup”
7. Your name should appear under the “Volunteers”. Click the box next to your name then click “Add Attendee to Program Roster”

Open Observations
beginning in Sept.
Open observations will feature National, Advanced & Intermediate Refs at work with Mentor led discussions on the touchline. Check the ref page & weekly newsletter for the schedule !
Team Referee
U6 & U8: referee your own child's game. (non-competitive)
- U10-U12: referee the game before your child's game.
-U10-U12: start out as an AR-move to the center later
-U10-U12: 1st or 2nd year Regional Referee
in Region 214; since every Team Referee
has no game on those weeks when
his/her child plays in the first game
of the day,Team Referees are expected
to “make up” those games during
the season, such as at playoffs.

that allows each referee
to“log in” and select the games
that best fit an individual’s
skill and calendar.
