All-Stars info

By now, All-Star player selections have been made.  If your child has not yet been contacted, it is likely indicative that other players were voted/selected.

Every year, there are MANY variables that factor into those players voted, and inevitably deserving players may have been overlooked or not selected.  (For example, did your child participate in the all-star tryout evaluation day? Did your child's coach participate in the All-Star tryout evaluation day to become eligible to vote for players in your child's division?  Did your child's coach attend the selection meeting where players are discussed prior to voting?)  These are just a few important variables.

Once players are voted as eligible, then the next step is to identify certified all-star coaches and then ask them to complete their roster with the 1-3 remaining open selections (depending on division) to balance out their team.  For example, if your child is a talented defender, but the division voted in a plethora of top defenders, then the coach would likely need to select a striker/forward with their open selection to complete their team (and vice versa, or perhaps the team needed a Keeper, or in the case of Regional all-star teams, perhaps needed a player whose parent is a certified ref to fulfill this responsibility in covering games).

Regardless, if your child was not selected we understand the resulting disappointment and know that any explanation will rarely be comforting.

Thank you for participating in the Regular season, and we look forward to seeing you on the fields in April for our Free Spring Clinics offered on Sundays, and then soccer camps in June, July and August, and before you know it we'll be on the fields next Fall for another regular season!
