Because of the heavy rains, we will close fields for practices today (Friday) and allow them to rest and some time to absorb the standing water.

As for games this weekend, our Region traditionally has been much more liberal about allowing games in inclement weather (such as the sport is played in European countires) and then we rely on the refs to make a game-time decision for safety at each specific field.

However, because some other cities/Regions close fields at the first drops of rain, there may be mixed use.  Some all-star games may be played on some fields, and others will be cancelled due to weather.  Still others may be relocated to open fields such as ours.  It is critical to sign-up for the Area 1C email alert system for the latest news, or log into the Area 1C website for information.  Decisions about this weekend will LIKELY not be made until this evening or EARLY Saturday morning.
