One of AYSO’s five core philosophies is “balanced teams”.  As a result, and like many Regions, we maintain an extensive database of player evaluations as submitted annually by the team’s coach of that season.  These player evaluations are vital and central to the process of forming balanced teams in the competitive divisions each season.

If your child is new to Region 214 – and will be playing in the U-10, U-12 or U-14 divisions – he or she MUST be evaluated in order to be placed on teams.

Your child should attend (only one) of the following evaluation sessions:

·         Saturday, May 5:  4pm - 5 pm (on the afternoon of our last walk-in registration; or

·         Saturday, May 19: 4pm - 5 pm.

·         Both sessions will be held at South Pasadena Middle School field (see fields link at left for map / directions)

·         Players should bring a ball & water and wear soccer shoes & shinguards for the evaluation.

·         The evaluations will last approximately 15 minutes per evaluation; the player will be evaluated on a series of individual skills and drills.

NOTE:   Children who played in Region 214 last season should NOT attend these sessions.

REMINDER:  Children who are new to the region but who are playing in the U-6 or U-8 divisions also should NOT attend.
