Season Information
Boys and girls play separately in one of seven age based divisions over a 10 game regular season, capped by playoffs in the Under-10 and older divisions. Our season begins in late August and will end in late November/early December. AYSO emphasizes a “balanced teams and everyone plays” philosophy which provides an enriching and fun experience for players of all abilities.
AYSO Soccer is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and many volunteers are needed throughout the year to serve as coaches, referees, field set-up and maintenance, uniform distribution and a host of other specialized jobs. All parents will be required to sign-up for a volunteer commitment. In addition, Sponsorship and Patron opportunities exist.
Registration Disclaimer: As an all volunteer organization, AYSO depends on parents to volunteer as coaches, referees, and board members. Region 214, South Pasadena/San Marino, may be forced to limit the number of players in some divisions for the upcoming season if we do not have enough volunteers in these key areas. Although we will do our best to accommodate all players who come to our Walk-Up Registration in May, only players whose parents have volunteered and have completed training as a coach, referee, board member or field captain will be guaranteed to play. There will not be a “first-come-first serve” advantage, so being first in line at registration will not guarantee your child will play. There is usually a large crowd at the beginning of each registration, so come later (but not last minute) and you will save time.
