►Volunteering for one of the above 5 volunteer positions will guarantee your Players will be placed on teams for the Fall 2011Season.
VIP TEAM
VIP Buddies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (12): Assist the VIP players on the field while parents enjoy the game!
Support this rewarding program a few Sundays of the Season!
VIP Team Volunteers (3 per week - 33 total): Help out on with our special needs VIP team. Pick at least one Sunday:
Sept 11-Nov 20: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20
FIELDS
Field Maintenance Volunteers (48): Help with field restoration projects. Will involve some physical labor.
Four hour shifts available on four Saturdays TBA.
Field Coordinators (11): Coordinates field set-up a for the 11 fields on a weekly basis. Coordinators will schedule volunteers and send reminders to ensure they are showing up. Primarily a phone/email job. ►This position guarantees your player (s) will be placed on a team for the Fall 2011 season.
Field Set Up Captains – (33) Unlock the equipment and supervise volunteers for the set up of the fields and goals before each game and supervise the take down and lock up. ►This position guarantees your player (s) will be placed on a team for the Fall 2011 season.
Field Equipment Repair-(12) Inventory and repair field equipment before the beginning of the season in August.
Field Set Up (200): Field set up volunteers will set up goals and flags at 7:00 am 3 Saturdays during the season.
Field Painting (30): Paint fields at 7:00 am 3 Saturdays during the season.
Arroyo Locker Clean Out (20): Help clean up the storage locker in preparation for the new season.
Arroyo Locker Clean Up (10): Help clean out the storage locker after the end of the season.
UNIFORMS
Uniform Distribution (24): Help hand out uniforms to all the teams: August 15 or August 16
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE NEEDED !!
Data Entry (8) enter data the week or so after Registration, 2-3 hrs, must be familiar with Excel.

FOURTH of JULY PARADE
Fourth of July Parade Coordinators (8): Organize the “decorating” of AYSO Region 214’s float in EITHER
South Pasadena’s Festival of Balloons Parade OR San Marino’s 4th of July Parade !
Ensure Region families have fun & stay cool. 4 Coordinators for South Pasadena & 4 for San Marino.
Fourth of July Parade Set Up (12): Help decorate & apply the final touches to the AYSO Region 214’s 4th of July float !
Fourth of July Parade Route Volunteers (20): Help keep the kids all together while on the parade route
Fourth of July Family Participants (100 families) Have fun in the sun, walk with the AYSO float!!
OPENING DAY CEREMONY & PICTURE DAY: SEPT 17
Banner Contest Volunteers (8) Help with the Annual Banner Contest. Friday eve: Sept 16, 2011.
Opening Day-Photo Day Assistants (8): Assist Directors of Special Events
Opening Day Ceremony Set-Up (12): Help set up the cones and other items on the field for the Opening Day Ceremony.
Opening Day Ceremony Greeters (12): Help teams find their spot and direct them.
Opening Day Ceremony Security (6): Make sure people do not bring food or drinks onto the South Pasadena Turf Field!
Opening Day Ceremony Take Down (12): Clear the field after the Opening Day Ceremony.
Opening Day /Photo Day Concessions (5): Sell donuts/coffee or Distribute Coach Shirts, etc.
Photo Day Coordinators (4): Coordinators check in & direct other photo day volunteers.
Photo Day Volunteers (24): Assist photographers in getting teams in order.
Opening DayMerchandise Volunteers (24): Help organize & sell AYSO merchandise on Opening Day.
TOURNAMENTS & CLINICS
Tiger Cup Volunteers (8): Help with set up & check in at our Tiger Cup for U8 olders in December.
Arroyo Seco Cup Volunteers (24): Help out with our famous tournament that starts the day after Thanksgiving.
MISCELLANEOUS POSITIONS
Miscellaneous - Put yourself “on call” for other volunteer opportunities that arise.
Sponsorships Assistants (20) Assist in Sponsorship solicitation,
Thank You letter writing, etc.
Trophy/Plaque Volunteers (13 total): pick up trophies/plaques
and/ or help distribute.
Truck Donation (20) – Be “On Call” to help transport Region equipment, merchandise, etc.
