When will I hear from my child's coach?

You can look up your child's coach in your account at www.ayso214.org in late August under Team/Coach Information. Practice Schedules and locations will also be posted at www.ayso214.org in late August.

If you have not heard from a coach by the day AFTER Labor Day or by the end of the first week in Sept, please contact the Registrar at [email protected].  Perhaps we have inaccurate contact information in the database, or a coach may still be on vacation, or perhaps your child was not cleared from the wait list due to a lack of coaches and referees.  (Committing to be a certified coach or referee is a significant way to help the region and assure your child, and others, are not left out of the AYSO season!)

What do I need to do to download my child's schedule?

Log into your account at www.AYSO214.org and go to the Team Page - Schedule Tab.

What do I do if my child can not make his regular practice time?

You will NOT be changed to a different team.
Please contact your Division Coach. Their contact information is found under Coach Contacts.
Let them know you are unable to make the particular practice time your child has been assigned. Specify the day that your child would like to practice and the Division Coach will contact a coach who is willing to take a practice player at that time.
You should make sure that the Practice Coach has a copy of your child's medical release form.

If you do not wish to practice with a different team, you may choose to not practice and only attend games.

If you want to change teams, you will be removed from the team and placed at the bottom of the waitlist and await a spot on an available team. All of our Divisions already have extensive waitlists, so it is unlikely your child would play this season.

If your child is not able to make a practice session, let your coach know.

Can we receive a refund?

The refund policy is provided in the Regional Guidelines.

Note: On February 24, 2016 the Board of Directors approved a change to the refund policy.

The new refund policy (Article 7.2.c in the Addendum to Standard Regional Guidelines):
All program drop dates are defined as 30 days prior to the program start date. The program start date is defined as the earlier of either of the first clinic, practice, scrimmage or match in the program.  Any player who withdraws prior to the drop date is entitled to a full refund.  No refunds will be granted once a program drop date has passed.  The request for refunds must be made using the online form located on the AYSO214.org website under Program Forms.

Can my child be placed on a team with his/her friend?

We do not honor requests for friends to be placed on the same teams.  This undermines one of AYSO's core principles of Balanced Teams. There are multiple factors that must be taken into consideration during the tedious and time-consuming process of team formation with our 2,000+ players making up 200+ teams, which also precludes special requests from being considered.

How can I find my child's practice Field?

Please check under  Fields A detailed map is available for all of the fields.

For Arroyo North for the first practice...
Arroyo #1 is the field closest to Nelson Baseball Field
Arroyo #3 is the field closest to the Clarich Baseball Field

My child wants to get their ears pierced, can they still play soccer?

Referees will NOT allow anyone to play in a game with jewelry (including earrings).

Oftentimes, newly pierced ears are expected to stay in for a period of 6-8 weeks prior to removing them.  However, removing newly pierced earstuds for a one hour game is not typically an issue.  Though, if you or your child do NOT want to remove the ear studs, the referees will NOT allow your child to play.

If  you can avoid new piercings anytime after July 31, your new piercings should be healed in time for removal during any games in the Fall Season.
