Team Manager Checklist
  1. Team Number - Let everyone on the team know their team number. Team schedules and practice information can be accessed on using your team number.
  2. Team Shutterfly Page – Create/update your team’s Shutterfly page and upload the game schedule and locations.
  3. Throughout the season, you will be notified of any upcoming events and news through the AYSO newsletter, website, and Facebook  Please disseminate the information and remind your team accordingly.
  4. Introduce yourself to all players and parents as the Team Manager and let them know you will be the communicator and handle all of the team’s business.
  5. Work with the Team Coach to help the players come up with a Team Name!
  6. Review and update the contact information from parents of each player including name, phone numbers, address, and email address.  Inform everyone to check the page regularly for schedule updates, upload team pictures (if they wish).  The Team Shutterfly Page is password protected so that only team members can access it.
  7. Team Banner - Ask 1-2 parents to be responsible for the Team Banner.  The responsible person(s) should collect money for the Team Banner from each family.  This should be divided evenly between the number of players.  The Team Banner can be created by the children and parents or ordered, and be ready for pictures on Picture Day.  Click here for information on the Team Banner and the Team Banner Contest.
  8. Snack Duty - Create a sign-up list for snack duty on Shutterfly for each game for half-time snack and end of game snack.  All families should bring snack at least once and some teams families may need to bring snack more than once.
  9. Update the game schedule on Shutterfly to include date and time of each game, along with field location and snack duty person for each game.  Make sure parents know how to update their player's availability.
  10. Picture Day - Remind your team about picture day and make sure everyone is together before going to the picture tent.  Distribute pictures to your team once they are ready.
  11. End-of-Season Party - Schedule the end-of-season team party!  There is no guideline on location so it's best to discuss with the team regarding location and dates/times that work with everyone.
  12. Key Volunteer Gifts - Collect money from each family for Coach, Referee or Key Volunteers' gift(s) to show appreciation for their efforts for the season.  This can be anything you choose or the team agrees on.  Try to keep the cost low as this is just a show of appreciation.
