Each team in Division 7U and above needs a referee!  Please volunteer to become a certified referee.  It doesn’t take long, you will enjoy it, and, most importantly, you will be benefiting your player, team and region.

New referees for the 7U and 8U divisions (players born in 2011 and 2012) need to take the half-day 8U class.  Current 8U referees whose players have moved to 10U need to the 8U to Regional Upgrade class.  New referees for divisions 10U and up (players born in or before 2010) need to take the one-day Regional Referee class (sometimes referred to as the Basic class).  Intermediate is for those who already have taken and passed the Regional Referee class and wish to upgrade.

To become a referee, please register as a current-year volunteer on the Region 214 website (ayso214.org) by logging in (or, if you need a login, clicking on "Register") in the upper right corner of the home page.  Then click on the option “I am a coach or other team personnel” and then Assistant Referee or Referee for your player's division (broken down by boys or girls and birth year). 

Once you have completed the registration process, go to aysou.org.  Towards the bottom, you will see a login link for those who have already registered on their region's website ("Login to AYSO SSO").  Click on that.  Then use the same login and password as you used when registering/logging on the Region 214 website.  Once you're in, click on the Live Courses tab at the top and look for referee training (either 8U, 8U to Regional Upgrade, or Regional, as applicable).  

You must also take the Safe Haven and Concussion online training which you will find either the My Courses tab of AYSOU.
