3/4 Rule

3/4 Play Rule and Additional Players

Our team size and system of play is setup so players can play 3/4 of every match for FALL Regular Season Play.  In some situations we add an additional player to a team and one player will need to sit /1/2 of the match. This should only happen to each player 1 time during the season.  It takes a bit of additional management to manage a team with an additional player this may help:

When all show up:

No player may play 3/4 until all players have played 2/4 of the game (or a planned 2/4).
The same player may not play 2/4 week after week, so this will need to be rotated and spread out over the course of the season.

For 10U - with 10 Players:
It works out to 6 players play 3/4 and 4 players play 2/4. No player plays the entire game.
So if #2,3,4,5 play 2/4 at the first game, they won’t play only 2/4 again until all the other players have played only 2/4 on a game (but you don’t have to sit them out on the subsequent game together, you can mix it up).

For 12U - with 13 Players:

It works out to: 10 players play 3/4 and 3 players play 2/4. No player plays the entire game.
So if #2,3,4 play 2/4 at the first game, they won’t play only 2/4 again until all the other players have played only 2/4 on a game (but you don’t have to sit them out on the subsequent game together, you can mix it up).

For 14U - with 15 Players:

It works out to: 14 players play 3/4 and 1 player plays 2/4. No player plays the entire game.
So if #2 plays 2/4 at the first game, that player won’t play only 2/4 again until all the other players have played only 2/4 on a game.
